Bunch Rides

Sure, we all love bunch rides - someone to share the k's and coffees - but don't let it ruin your training. If you're one of the stronger riders, train at your speed and wait at the top of hills etc - if you ride at the speed of the weakest, you'll become frustrated. Not only that, the weaker riders are there for the challenge of riding with the stronger riders in the first place - don't disappoint them!

Most riders train too much compared to their results. Sure, they might ride 20 hours per week, but as the amount of time they spend on their bikes goes up, the quality tends to go down. With just 10 weekly hours of structured training, you can reap about the same benefits as someone who “just rides” 20 hours a week.
