Secret Tip #20 - Update
Unfortunately, NSWIS-FRF didn't win the Canberra Tour. They've justified they're over-confidence by stating that winning the KOM is just as good...

Secret Tip #20
Never talk it up, just prove it on the bike!
The Secret Trainer enjoyed an exclusive interview with the NSWIS-FRF team this afternoon at the Canberra Tour, where one of their riders currently leads the GC. All they could talk about was how they had the win sewn up - we'll see how that looks after the final stage :)

Imitation is the best form of flattery
I've heard that somewhere down in Victoria is a 'Team SecretTraining' - those thieving mexicans! And look at the hard training they're getting up to (not very secret though).

Secret Tip #19
Struggling to lose that last kilo before your big climbing race?
Always wear legwarmers, your body will realise it doesn't need that layer of fat just below the skin on your legs, and will shed it - not only saving weight, but increasing vein definition.

Real Secret Training
When that former elite/A grade/pro cyclist (supposedly 'retired') tells you that they hardly ride anymore, this is what they mean...

IE. they train with an SRM and don't take a day off when it's raining!
For those that don't recognise the hard man, it's Sean Yates.

Secret Tip #12
When you are in the Hour of Power (TM), and it's your turn at the front, pick up the speed at least 5 kph. Don't worry about disrupting the smoothness and efficiency of the group - if the other riders don't want to suffer as much as you want to, then show them by dropping to the back, and then attacking them, they are wimps and you don't need them.
